Scope of Work
Smithsonian Exhibits’ Design and 3D Studio worked with subject matter experts from the National Museum of American History to design and produce a tactile model of Robert M. Pirsig’s 1966 Honda Super Hawk motorcycle for visitors to touch. This exhibition celebrates the 50th anniversary of Robert M. Pirsig’s Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance novel, his 1966 Honda Super Hawk motorcycle is on temporary display within the America on the Move exhibition. Pirsig and his son rode from Minnesota to California and back on this motorcycle, which inspired the book.
